We work together for environmentally and resource-efficient capture, use and storage of CO₂.
To prevent climate change, greenhouse gas emissions MUST be reduced. CO₂ management is absolutely necessary.
TOGETHER we will build expertise and share experiences in environmentally and resource-efficient capture, use and storage of CO₂.
CCUS Cluster Workshop 2026
60+ participants from across the CCUS value chain gathered in Oslo for the National CCUS Cluster Workshop on the 19th January.
The event was co-hosted by CCUS Norway and Oslo Carbon Cluster with support from CLIMIT.
NEW REPORT from CCUS Norway
Prepared by Eva Halland, this report dives into the challenge of transporting CO₂ from scattered, small industrial sources to permanent storage sites.
Highlights include:
The need for coordinated, cost-effective CO₂ transport across the country
Importance of public-private collaboration for infrastructure development
Progress in industry clusters, feasibility studies, and technology testing
This report is in Norwegian.
Carbon capture and storage (CCS) is an important part of the solution to the climate problem.
Carbon capture involves capturing CO₂ from the combustion of fossil and biological material. This is CO₂ that otherwise ends up in the atmosphere and contributes to the greenhouse effect.
Can we use the CO₂?
CCU is short for Carbon Capture & Utilization - where CO₂ is captured and used as raw material for new products.
